People never change... just the tools they use do.

I have a hobby - an expensive one.

I collect antique self-help books from early 1900's and earlier. What amazes me the most about them is the relevancy of concepts and ideas to modern days.

As I was sitting in my office closet reading one of the books, I had to constantly glance at the inside cover to make sure that it was indeed published in 1913. It might've been written just last year!

Money alone doesn't make you happy...

Success depends on the people who surround you...

Every successful person works hard for their position...

Be organized, keep your desk clean, and treat your employees well...

These life-long principles never change, because it's about people - and people don't change. What was true 100 years ago is true today.

Now, off to "bargain shopping" for more antique books...apparently, they're not as valued as those written by famous authors. But to me, they're absolutely priceless!

P.S. I thought I'd give you a sneak peak inside my office closet.
