What I spend money on

I am not the usual stereotyped female shopper...

I am not into clothes...

....or jewelry

....or "stuff"

I spend money primarily on 3 things:

- kids stuff (toys, games, books)
- business-related books (including on tape)
- MOVIES!

The last one is big, I watch at least one movie a day, even when I am totally swamped with everything else.

I'll also NOT think twice about getting the movie I absolutely must have!

Movies are my "soul food". Movies are my "stress release". Movies are my "dose of humor".

I remember when I was 14, vacationing with my parents and little brother on the Black Sea in Ukraine, the landlady we rented a room from allowed me to watch her TV (that was in the 80's).

That year, I watched a movie that I could never forget! Ever since then, I'd been trying to locate it, and finally...16 years later...I remembered its title!

It's a 2-part story about 4 Polish girls, who are friends in the Wolrd War II, and how their lives are affected by the war. History drama and a "chick flick", but what a story!

- "Apple Tree of Paradise"
- "Girls from Nowolipki"

I ordered it tonight from Polandbymail.com, but only one part has English subtitles.

I'll "guess" the rest in Polish!

Wanda Loska, are you reading this? :)

We ALL take our knowledge for granted!

As I was listening to my financial planner, who visited my home on Friday, I was thinking to myself...

"I wish I didn't have to understand all this stuff, this is all so confusing, so many details...Why can't I just tell him - invest my money for me, and leave me alone!

Why do I have to get into this terminology? Why? Why? Why?"

Then I realized I completely spaced out, and missed the last 10 minutes of his monologue...

Before he was leaving, he said, "So what are you up to these days?"

I got all excited, pulled out my CDs, started telling him about the tele-conferences, audio products, new technology and web sites...

He listened with great attention for about 5 minutes, held the CDs in his hands, looked up at me and said...

"I guess this is how you feel, when I talk finances..."

Duh...

Tape your coaching calls!

Generally, I like to experience good things more than once.

In fact, I am currently watching The Apprentice, season one (on DVD), and picking up on a lot of things I missed the first time around.

It's especially interesting to notice how the conflict between Erica and Omarosa started, how Bill Ransic (the winning hunk!) demonstrated his leadership and entrepreneurial abilities early on in the show...

If you have a coach, tape your calls with him or her!

If you coach clients, tape your calls with them and send them the recordings (on tape, CDs, or on the Web)!

I can tell you from personal experience with my coach, that I get about 300% value out of my sessions with him after listening to the recording.

I re-enforce the ideas and concepts he shared with me, AND I just get a lot more clear in my head when I really listen, and not just take notes.

Imagine the added value you're going to create for YOUR coaching clients by offering them to hear you again.

May-June...The month of new projects

Feeling exhausted but fulfilled...

After spending an entire month creating new projects, I am out of steam.

I am out of steam, but my brain can't stop...

It's like a little switch went on last month, and I just can't turn it off.

Looking at my inbox reminds me just how busy I've been - my e-mail NEVER gets to the point of where I have to spend 5 hours responding to messages.

This is a sign to stop and focus.

What new projects have been created?

Coaching Niche Toolkit - in response to so many clients having difficulty finding a coaching niche, I absolutely had to do this! At least now, when a client tells me, "But I can coach ANYBODY!", I'll have something to send them.

Coaching Club Secrets - a presentation by Ramon Williamson on creating a highly lucrative coaching membership site for residual income attracted over 150 coaches last January. I found myself answering questions from people about this concept, so I turned to source for help. Now, supplemented with bonus material - notes and action plan - the entire presentation is available as a stand-alone product.

A couple of other projects are still in progress - can't tell yet.

Oh, one more cool tool I just dreamt up one night, then spent a whole day creating it!

Group Coaching Calculator - if you do group coaching, this is an awesome tool for you to use! Decide how to price it, how many people to enroll into your program, how much money you can make a month or a year, etc.

I am not one of those people, who announces the product just to give myself some accountability...I want to know the product is READY to use first!

What now?

The coaching tele-summit, of course. Last year, I only had 6 weeks to prepare.

This year, I decided to play it smart, and give myself 6 months.

Great Coaching Article from an Executive Coach

Any time I find an interesting article written by a coach, and published in a major publication, I like to bring you attention to it.

Why?

Because great articles build business!

This week, Susan Cramm has written a great article for CIO magazine, whose readership is her ideal target audience - excellent!

And, it touches on some very important issues to CIOs, which means it'll get printed, copied, saved and passed around.

Interesting angle and a great read:

"Your Work or Your Life: How to overcome the corporate conspiracy that keeps you chained to your job"

The Most De-Motivating Web Site Ever!

Someone worked really hard to create the most useless web site in the world.

Hope you don't enjoy it :-)
