Is Negative Opinion Really Stronger Than Positive?

Here is a fact. At least in my experience.

If people don't agree with something, they're much more likely to express their opinion, than if they did agree.

If someone doesn't like the book they're reading, they'll probably post their negative review on Amazon.

If someone doesn't agree with a discussion list post, they're more likely to respond to it.

I would like to challenge you to make a shift. If you like a book - go post a positive comment on Amazon. If you agree with someone's opinion - tell them. If you like reading my blog - tell me about it! POST YOUR COMMENTS! Make my day! :-)

Another Coach on a Quest - And I am the One to Blame!

Can't tell you what a great feeling it is when a client agrees with you. No pulling, no pushing, no convincing, everything just falls into place...especially when I am absolutely convinced it's the RIGHT place!

Usually, when a new client comes to me, the first thing we do is have the million-dollar conversation:

"What's your target audience?"

"Small business owners and entrepreneurs."

Ok, that should be easy...NOT! Please, please, pleeeeease, tell me you're still searching for your niche!

Today a new client said "YES!" within 7 minutes into the consultation. There was an obvious niche - completely perfect for her - that she was missing, until today.

So, she is on a quest this week. Her assignment:

- Do a search on Google.com to find associations and magazines that target the same audience.

- While doing this search, compile a list of all possible topics she can write about to send to association newsletters and magazines for publishing. Also, spot any important common problems and challenges this group of people has.

- Come up with a web site name specifically for this niche.

Next...

- We'll be working on developing a remarkable web site, which will highlight her expertise and specialization. Association staff and magazine editors will have no doubt she's the expert in her area!

- She'll write 5-10 articles for her web site to build content, and to present a highly credible image backed up by expertise and research.

- Set up a list building mechanism on her web site for capturing leads.

Finally...

- Develop a product funnel: CDs, e-programs, home study courses, and a variation of a "coaching gym."

- Go for the kill! Or mildly put, completely penetrate the niche!

How's that for a 6-month action plan!!!

When One Day Becomes Three - Milana, the "Superwoman!"

Have you ever noticed when you do too many different things in the same day, it feels like three days passed?

This morning I finally completed a project, which I procrastinated for weeks now! Every time I sat down to do it, something else would come to mind and I'd shift my focus. So today I took my head between my hands, and said, "Enough is enough! If I don't do this today, I won't do it ever!"

Feels liberating to have it off my back!

I have so many projects going on at the same time, it's not even funny!
  • 5 client web sites
  • A new program in development with a partner (must be ready by summertime)
  • Completing packaging the remaining 200 coaching tele-summit CDs (please, help me get them out of my living room - buy the CDs!)
  • Taking ACCPOW into a new direction (members - get ready for a quantum leap!)
  • Learning new technologies (webcam, audio generator, webinars, etc.)
  • Handling over 800 emails a day
  • And...believe it or not, already planning the next year coaching tele-summit of 2006!

One more project on my plate...and...it'll get ugly!

Some day I'll look at myself and say, "This is NOT human! I must've been a superwoman!"

Why the "Buzz" Around 90 Day Coaching Product Factory?

If you're on any of the mailing lists related to coaching or infopreneurship, you couldn't help but noticing the latest COOLEST thing! I am talking about Michael Port's and Mitch Meyerson's 90-Day Product Factory.

And, since Michael talked a lot about creating coaching products at the tele-summit in January, I wanted to follow up with him to see how their first-time product factory went and how many coaches actually completed their products successfully.

Michael and Mitch (M&M) are also doing a completely free 70-minute seminar, as you heard from my conversation above, and you can sign up here (the first link on the page): March 14th Big Call

By the way, there are a lot of marketers who talk about product creation, but I have never seen anyone be as detailed and insightful as Michael on this subject.

What Do Cooking, Morning Showers and Karate Lessons Have in Common?

I work all the time. Even when I am not working, my brain does. Just can't seem to "turn it" off.

The biggest breakthroughs, I noticed, come to me when I cook, take a shower, or wait for my kids while they take karate or dance classes.

I've been procrasting writing a new sales letter for one of my web sites for a month now. Today, it happened! My hand is still hurting from writing so much, while I was waiting in my daughter's dance school lobby.

I felt completely inspired, found my angle, and literaly "stormed" through the copy!

Come to think of it, I did most of my writing and brainstorming when I am not in my office. Something must be in the air.

The "crazy lady with lots of packages"

The post office people know me now by name, what kind of business I run, and why I brought in 175 packages to mail over the last 3 days.

And, my credit limit was reached today - for the first time in my credit-card history EVER! (Ok, it worked this morning, what happened now???)

I think I'll take the postal workers out to lunch when I am done! Are they allowed to take tips?

Milana.com's traffic ranking is down today - Yipee!!! - from 8 million to 353,000 on Alexa.com...in just 2 weeks of blogging. Could it GET better than that?

Actually, it could. I'd like to get a little more sleep.
