Under-Monetized Coaching Business

Christy Callahan is a Prenatal Coach!

Got a baby on the way? Frustrated? Overwhelmed? Scared?

She's here to help! What a great niche, very specific target audience, plenty of magazines, e-zines, and web sites to joint venture with and reach highly interested prospects.

Got domain, too! Perfect!

The problem?

There are 2 actually:

Problem #1: Christy's client's life is 9 months or less, unless she offers an after-birth program for new moms. I didn't see it anywhere on her web site, she may be offering it to her existing clients, but it's not available on the web site.

Problem #2: As warm and fuzzy Christy's web site feels, it doesn't talk about the BENEFITS to the expecting mom in a greater detail! I see fees, different types of coaching, and - aside from the brief description of the "Prenatal Bonding" program (on the "Fees" page), there is really nothing to make me want to pay $350 a month.

Recommendations:

Create very specific coaching programs for expecting moms, with testimonials from other moms-clients, success stories, feelings and emotions. Include exactly what and how and when - in other words, how the program will work, what they can expect to get out of it.

BENEFITS! EMOTIONS! This is what's missing for me from Christy's otherwise nice-looking site (not exactly highly professional looking, but I suspect that the choice of colors and images speaks well for her targe audience - boy, it's been 6 years for me, so I can't really relate at this point!)

Also, create a continuation of the program - after the baby arrives, this would eliminate the fear of post-birth depression, since the coach would be right there to monitor and support the new mother.

No products? Where are the audio programs? Books? e-Coaching?

Definitely would increase Christy's visibility and image, but I am sure she's probably working on it already!
