What My Business Would Look Without the Children...
This weekend, my kids have been sent away...
...to grandma!
So, as any smart home-working mom, I worked all Saturday.
I worked, ate, watched TV, and basically enjoyed my day.... up until 4pm....
Then, I felt a little lost.
Usually, my daughter wakes up from her nap and we play, have afternoon snacks, and get ready for the evening activities.
But on Saturday, she wasn't here... so I kept working, and working, until 9pm.
Went to bed exhausted, and can't wait to come and pick the kids up!
So here is a little personal moment shared...from the trenches of my home office :-)

I'm jelous. A day to work while you know the kids are safe and having fun. Where do I sign up?
Seriously, It's amazing what a day of distraction-free working can do for you. As an mom with a home business, I can totally relate to your post.
Keep up the good work. And make sure when you get a day off like that again, you also get a bubble bath or something special just for you. We need to take care of ourselves too.
I love my kids and I love being able to be home with them. One of my greatest passions in life are my 2 daughters.
Now comes the tricky part, finding time for me. I am a single mom, home schooling, coaching, living in a city that I do not have family or much support, and I would not trade it for the world.
My kids teach me so much. I learn how to play more, how to laugh, love and be loved. Their treasured gifts are so incredible.
I do find that I must take time off to regroup and have quiet time or outrageous adult time just for me. I do play alot with them, and at the same time I need time away from them to gather new appreciation and perspective on the joy they bring and the gift that they are.
My business would suffer greatly without my girls. I keep smiling and loving life.
