Is Cutting Costs Harder Than Increasing Revenue?
You betcha!
Ever since I heard this notion at Chris Barrow's seminar, I continue to agree.
If I sit down and wreck my brain over how to cut my expenses, the most I can reduce is probably 25%.
Plus, it's going to a LOT of effort and sacrifice!
It's a lot easier to increase revenue through:
- creating a new product or service for a new source of revenue
- increasing hourly rates and product prices
- launch a new marketing campaign to bring new clients
Every time I think "my costs are too high, close to 50%, I need to figure out a way to reduce it..."
I remember what Chris Barrow said, and start thinking with a different direction.
Bingo!
